Elisha's students went down to the Jordan to cut beams for a new place to learn. As one of them swung, the iron head flew off his axe and sank into the river. And the axe was not even his.
"As one of them was felling a beam, the iron fell into the water. He cried out and said, 'Alas, my master! It was borrowed.'"
Melachim Beis 6:5
Elisha asked where it fell, and the young man showed him the spot. Elisha cut a stick and threw it into the water there, and the heavy iron rose up and floated.
"The man of God said, 'Where did it fall?' He showed him the place. He cut off a stick and threw it there, and the iron floated."
Melachim Beis 6:6
