The Writing on the Wall

Belshazzar, king of Bavel, threw a feast for a thousand nobles and drank from the gold and silver vessels taken from the Beis HaMikdash. At that moment the fingers of a man's hand appeared and wrote on the palace wall, and the king watched it write.

"At that moment, the fingers of a man's hand came out and wrote opposite the lamp, on the plaster of the wall of the king's palace, and the king saw the palm of the hand that was writing."

Daniel 5:5

None of the king's wise men could read it. Daniel was brought in. He refused the king's gifts, reminded him how Nevuchadnetzar had been humbled, and read the words. That same night Belshazzar was killed.

"And this is the writing that was inscribed: Mene, mene, tekel, ufarsin."

Daniel 5:25
