Yaakov and the Man

And he sent across all that he had.

וַיִּקָּחֵם וַיַּעֲבִרֵם אֶת הַנָּחַל וַיַּעֲבֵר אֶת אֲשֶׁר לוֹ׃

בראשית לב:כד

"And he took them and sent them across the stream, and he sent across all that he had."

Genesis 32:24

And a man wrestled with him until the dawn came up.

וַיִּוָּתֵר יַעֲקֹב לְבַדּוֹ וַיֵּאָבֵק אִישׁ עִמּוֹ עַד עֲלוֹת הַשָּׁחַר׃

בראשית לב:כה

"And Yaakov was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until the dawn came up."

Genesis 32:25

And the sun rose upon him, and he was limping.

וַיִּזְרַח לוֹ הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ כַּאֲשֶׁר עָבַר אֶת פְּנוּאֵל וְהוּא צֹלֵעַ עַל יְרֵכוֹ׃

בראשית לב:לב

"And the sun rose upon him as he passed Penuel, and he was limping on his hip."
