And he took from the stones of the place.
וַיִּפְגַּע בַּמָּקוֹם וַיָּלֶן שָׁם כִּי בָא הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ וַיִּקַּח מֵאַבְנֵי הַמָּקוֹם וַיָּשֶׂם מְרַאֲשֹׁתָיו וַיִּשְׁכַּב בַּמָּקוֹם הַהוּא׃
בראשית כח:יא
"And he came upon the place and stayed the night there, because the sun had set. And he took from the stones of the place and put them under his head, and lay down in that place."
Genesis 28:11
And behold, angels of God ascending and descending on it.
וַיַּחֲלֹם וְהִנֵּה סֻלָּם מֻצָּב אַרְצָה וְרֹאשׁוֹ מַגִּיעַ הַשָּׁמָיְמָה וְהִנֵּה מַלְאֲכֵי אֱלֹקִים עֹלִים וְיֹרְדִים בּוֹ׃
בראשית כח:יב
"And he dreamt, and behold a ladder set on the ground, its top reaching the heavens, and behold angels of God ascending and descending on it."
Genesis 28:12
And he set it up as a pillar and poured oil on its top.
וַיַּשְׁכֵּם יַעֲקֹב בַּבֹּקֶר וַיִּקַּח אֶת הָאֶבֶן אֲשֶׁר שָׂם מְרַאֲשֹׁתָיו וַיָּשֶׂם אֹתָהּ מַצֵּבָה וַיִּצֹק שֶׁמֶן עַל רֹאשָׁהּ׃
בראשית כח:יח
"And Yaakov rose early in the morning and took the stone he had put under his head, and set it up as a pillar, and poured oil on its top."
